Sometimes professional designers tend to force their ideas onto you, which can lead to a very disappointed client when the job is finished, so make sure that you have you say!
If you decide to go it alone with the design phase and buy online then be very careful when making the measurements because if you enter them into the curtains website incorrectly then they will be made to that measurement and you would have wasted a lot of money on something that would become useless to you. It is worth noting that bespoke soft furnishings are not returnable as the retailer can’t resell something that has been made specifically for one of its clients.
If your windows are not perfectly square then always send through smallest of all measurements, so measure in three places and use the lowest value for both the drop and width. Mind you, most reputable websites will have that information clearly explained for you to read and print off.
I think Made to measure Curtains gave the best outlook for every window although it much expensive than readymade curtains.
